The institute in collaboration with Rotary and Lions Club organised a walkathon on 10.08.2023 to impart awareness on organ donation to the general public at Honavar. The rally began from Bhatkal circle to St. Ignatius Hospital campus. Dignitaries from Lions and Rotary club, members of police department, press and staff and students of the institute participated in the walkathon.
The workshop began on 11.08.2023 with the theme – “Giving a second chance of life is in your hands”. The resource persons were Mrs.Ranjini Shankar MS, Project Manager, Mohan Foundation, Bengaluru and Ms.Sheetal Mundada, transplant co-ordinator, Belgavi. 290 participants from various colleges like Bapuji Collge of Nursing, Shimoga, Mahaganapati College of Nursing, Dharwad, MES College of Nursing, Sirsi, RNS College of Nursing, Murdeshwar, Ashwini College of Nursing, Vijayapura and St. Ignatius Hospital and St. Ignatius Institute of Health Sciences participated in the workshop.
