Red Ribbon Club:
Red Ribbon Club is a movement started by the Government of India in schools and colleges through which, students will spread awareness over HIV/AIDS. The Red Ribbon club is a symbol for both drug prevention and for the fight against AIDS. St. Ignatius Institute of Health Sciences established theRed Ribbon club in order to participate in various awareness programmes and render services to the society through the club.
Aim:
The Red Ribbon Club indulges the youth in the activities which lead to make them & the society aware of causes and prevention of HIV/AIDS.
Objectives
- To create awareness on HIV/AIDS & its prevention among the population.
- To provide a platform for strengthening the responses to HIV/AIDS among the diverse population.
- To increase global awareness of the continuing impact of HIV/ AIDS.
- To promote accountability among all stakeholders engaged at various levels of the response to HIV/ AIDS.
