On June 1, 2026, our vibrant NSS volunteers turned the St. Ignatius Hospital OPD into a hub of health advocacy for World No Tobacco Day. Through high-energy awareness tracks and creative health education sessions, the team empowered patients and visitors to say no to tobacco and yes to life. Together, we are building a smoke-free tomorrow.
In honor of World No Tobacco Day a programme was organized at the auditorium on 03.06.2026. The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Mr. Anil Sequeira, Civil Judge JMFC, Honavar, who delivered an inspiring speech on the importance of World No Tobacco Day. His words highlighted the urgent need to spread awareness and encourage society to adopt a tobacco free lifestyle. Following this, Mrs. Sampada Gunaga, Lawyer, spoke on the complications of tobacco use, emphasizing its harmful effects on health and family life. The programme was further honored by the presence of senior and junior lawyers, including Shri V.M. Bhandari, Udaya B. Naik, G.V. Bhat, M.S. Subramaya, S.G. Hegde, V.R. Naik, S.G. Naik, and Prakasha G. Thandel. The oath ceremony was led by Mrs. Pristin Ruzario, Tutor and Nodal Officer of NASHA MUKTA, St. Ignatius Institute of Health Sciences, Honavar.
