On October 2nd 2024, the NSS students conducted Sagara Swachhata Abhiyana at Eco beach Kasarkod. The “Clean coast, Safe Sea” initiative was executed at Eco beach focusing on the goal of beach cleanliness. 50 students participated in the event under the guidance of Sr. Susai, Programme Officer of the NSS unit.
The team worked together to cover designated areas of the beach and the park, sorting the wastes into recyclable and non-recyclable materials for proper disposal. This initiative educated the participants about the impacts of pollution on marine ecosystem and the importance of sustainability.
